Setting up your Custom Map Data for Google Maps
  • First position the map on the concerned geographic location.
    you can use the lat / long / zoom and Go There Directly.
    Center Latitude of the Map:
    Center Longitude of the Map:
    Zoom : Go There
  • To add your own image on top, it has to be on a server (http://url.com/image.something).
    Set the URL * .
  • Superpose by transparency as well as possible. Drag your image around and to resize it press down Shift+Mouse.
  • Click to gather image and map info below
    The top corner of your custom map is in Tile(Google Maps Tile needed for the Tile Cutter)

  • These are the graphical changes you will have to make to your image to make
    it fit perfectly into the Google Maps Tiling:
    • Amount of X Padding (amount of pixels to add) to be added on the left side of the image :
    • Amount of Y Padding to be added on the top of the image :
    • My image Scale on image width :
    • My image Scale on image height :
    • your Name(1 word)* :
    • your Email* (don't worry no spam intended,NECESSARY: we'll send you a link to your tiles ):
    • map folder name* :
    • Web URLimage from the Web * :
    • X* :
    • Y* :
    • Z* :
    • Generate Tiles from your image (only jpg for the moment!!!)

    How to make your Custom Layer yourself: If the scale is 1, no scale change to be made, but if you change the size of the image using Shift,
    multiply width and height by the Scale factor to modify your original image.
    To finish fill the image with padding on the right and the bottom so that the height and the width are multiples of 256(Not necessarely a square ).
